We gave 5 Napkin Burger a shot today. The burgers were juicy and nicely done. We switched up to sweet potato fries where were great. A little dessert of strawberry shake and apple pie finished off a nice lunch.
Andrew had a belt testing today. The test was a bit of a struggle for him today, but he made it through. I hope he learns from his experience today
After Andrew’s swim meet, we had a nice lunch at Hailey’s Harp and Pub. We got off to a bad start with some really awful ice tea. But the fish and chips with sweet potato fries were nice. I had … Continue reading
We did Benihana for dinner. Andrew likes the show at the Hibachi. The flaming onion always draws a smile.
We did some apple picking in Princeton today. I enjoyed the weather and visiting the apple orchard. I always thought the tree would be bigger, but it makes sense for the trees to stretched out so people can pick the … Continue reading

Picked up gelato at CitySuper. Eliza liked the chocolate and I got a tasty black sesame on a cone.
We went to Haiku for dinner tonight. The mushroom, seafood, and chicken soup was great. Squid and sushi were nice also.
We went down to the IFC mall today. They had a Snoopy display today. Eliza got some fun on the display.
Wan Li is a bit out of the way from my place, but food and service were worth the trip for dinner. The food was excellent all around.
Got some green tea ice cream sandwich. Eliza liked it and she tried to feed the ice cream to her frog.
I woke up this morning to get a welcome back from Eliza. She enjoyed the gift I got her. Good to be home.
Could not get soy milk with bubble pearls. I got the grass jelly instead. Based on what I hear about the bubble pearls, I might have been better off with the grass jelly any way. I had another Japanese snack … Continue reading
Went to Chop Suey Cafe for a nice lunch before my departure from Singapore. The lettuce wraps had a nice kick of spice. Crab omelette was great also.
There is no shortage of food at the office in Singapore. One of the guys got a couple orders of fish from Manhattan Fish Market. I gave it a taste and I think its pretty good.
One of our guys are moving to another office. He got the team red bean pancakes. Although I am sure there is a bunch of sugar, I could not pass one up.
I got all the bags packed and grabbed room service breakfast before checking out.
We had a great view from Ku De Ta at the top of the Marina Sands. The music is a bit much for me, but the Urban Breeze cocktail and views were great. We got views of the track set … Continue reading
Had a quiet meal downstairs of my hotel. The place was Tao Seafood. The fish skin with salted egg sauce was nice. Vegetables were tasty and the wine infused chicken was nice.
Even in the land of exotic cars, this one stands out.
We had a nice lunch at Lawry’s today. They are running the special buy 1 and get 1 free. We went with the usual Lawry cut.
I saw this posted at the mall in Singapore
I dropped by Lau Pa Sat for a quick breakfast this morning. A bowl of congee, shrimp dumplings, and lime juice are good for a start of day meal. This hawker center seems to be the most famous for tourists. … Continue reading

I just took a couple of pic around Chinatown and Marina. The Singapore hawker centers are well known for their selection of food. A recently renovated one by my hotel is open til pretty late at night.
The dinner at Wolfgang Puck’s Cut was excellent. Originally I had my mind set on a steak, but since I am going back to the US soon and my partner was interested in the chicken, we decided to … Continue reading
We had lunch at Fat Cow. Although the obvious choice is the various cuts of Wagyu, I chose to stick with the salmon. The salmon was very enjoyable.
We had JBM coffee at Raffles for dinner. The salmon might be cook a little bit much, but the best part was the dessert. The souffle was awesome and the ice cream with hazelnuts was good too.
We had a nice lunch at Alkaff Mansion. The tenderloin and dessert were especially nice. We were upstairs which was relatively empty. There was a wedding party downstairs but we didn’t hear anything from upstairs.
The Westin hotel is in the marina. I like the decor and the chill atmosphere.
The infinity pool at the Westin hotel is nice. The view is not as good as Sands Marina, but its quiet and mellow. The Sands Marina pool is like a tourist attraction.
These are some interesting statues downstairs of my hotel.
Not seeing many options, I grabbed the buffet at Seasonal Tastes. The set up is ok for a quick meal. The shrimp and crab legs were decent. I liked the sesame gelato.
We had a dim sum lunch before I took off for Singapore. The dim sum is not as good as it used to be, but the dim sum is still not bad and the location is convenient for me.
On my flight to Singapore, I noticed a warning displayed on the screen before I watched the latest X-Men movie, Days of Future Past. Seems that the depiction of a plane getting blown up needs a warning if you watch … Continue reading
We went to the Marriot City Cafe for dinner. The food was ok. I had a bit of an issue getting some cocktail sauce. The staff didn’t really understand what is cocktail sauce. A waiter told me they … Continue reading
Eliza has been making a good go at swimming even though she has no instruction. She just watch other people and figure out how to do it.
