Fisslet Academy is over at River Mall. They have some Mediterranean dishes and I would have liked to try the paella, but I got a curry chicken pizza. The orange ginger tea was nice and the pizza was ok. I … Continue reading
The expo area is redeveloped into a long mall. It has some way to go, but there seems to be some weekend activity to keep it going.
Although my certificate did not come in yet, my second degree promotion ceremony went ahead. We got new uniforms, took some photos, had a drink, and got started on material for third degree testing.

On short notice, we grabbed Thanksgiving lunch at the Brew. Given the little marketing and the timing, it seems we were the only ones who took part in the Thanksgiving lunch. We got the turkey all to ourselves. It was … Continue reading
Tang Seafood Palace was fairly quiet for lunch. We got the daily soup special which is usually a good choice. We also got the standard dim sum choices.
We visited Wishbone for a shot of comfort food. The decor is pretty bare. I can imagine the chicken can be hit or miss in terms of being overcooked on inside, but the flavor on the outside is great. My … Continue reading
After our lunch at La Societe, we hit Sunny Hills Pineapple Cakes. Famous in Taiwan, the company seems to have setup a marketing center in Shanghai. They have a sample tasting with tea that is a quite relaxing. We picked … Continue reading
The weekday discount for dim sum makes La Societe a great deal. The dim sum was great and the service was good too.
After my brunch, I saw a Vintage day event. I took some pics and walked around the former British Consulate. They were setting up for a wedding, but I still managed to peek around the interior of the former consulate.
We had a Sunday brunch at Paris Rouge. The service and egg selections were great. I had meurette eggs which were excellent. The tuna plate was also very nice.

After a karate workout, we hit Dominick’s Bakery for a nice lunch. The kids enjoyed the pizza.
I got an unexpected offer for lunch at the Bund. Given a choice, I don’t think you can ever go wrong with choosing Jean-Georges. The kingfish sashimi and the pork chop was fantastic.
For a Friday snack, I got the team a bunch of egg tarts from Lillian Bakery. I am not usually a fan of egg tarts, but these egg tarts are great, I make an exception especially when they are fresh … Continue reading

We got a special lunch set for 188 RMB that can feed 3 people at Thai In at Himalayas mall. The set is a pretty good value and the food is decent.

Another trip to Liquid Laundry for Sunday brunch and another satisfying meal. I gave the Korean Fried Chicken Sandwich a shot. Although it is quite decent, I’ll fall back to the pastrami hash for the next visit.
The rainy day limited our lunch options. We did the thin crust but salty pizza and crispy appetizer.
The parma ham and smoked salmon breakfast set at Baker and Spice is a nice way to kick off the morning.
I am not sure what is the deal with this hospital.

We went to Vale for a very fast lunch. My partner ordered some quick dishes. Pigeon seems like not much meat, but good for my diet.
If you go to Aniseed Pho, I guess you order pho. The pho is not bad. I also got clam soup with lemongrass. The soup hit the spot on a cold day,
It has been a while since our last visit to G+ Urban Harvest. The mushrooms were nice but a bit too much oil for my taste. The beef and sprouts were nice.
Element Fresh is always good for a salad or a smoothie. I tried the laksa with nice results. It has a little bit of spicy kick to it.
I happen to be in central Puxi for the morning. I decided to drop by Kabb for a Sunday brunch. The eggs, potato, and bacon were nicely done.
