We tried out the Jumbo Seafood at IFC. The selection is a subset of what the Singapore outlets offer, but the preparation, quality, and service are still good. The chili crab is a must.
After lunch we stopped over to The Cut at IAPM for a drink. We couldn’t resist an order of fries. Very crispy and tasty. I’ll be sure to get the steak and fries for the next visit.
Another nice brunch at Liquid Laundry. All the dishes came through quite nicely.
We stopped by Thai In over at Himalayas for a spicy lunch. Not comparable to Tai Cook, but it is not bad.
After missing dinner last night, I got a bigger breakfast at Baker and Spice.
We had a bit of dim sum at Man Ho while we waited for a business meeting. The service and food were at the usual good standard.
We were disappointed to see the lunch menu gone at Akasakatei. But the rice and sushi were decent for a quick lunch.
We had a nice time at 1515 West Chophouse. The steak cuts were nice. The service was a bit on the slow side, but the atmosphere was nice.
We had another trip to Hakkasan for dim sum. We did a little change up with the custard buns and duck noodles which were great.
We dropped in to get the limited quantity desserts. Flowers all over the shop. Pretty interesting place to chill.
I went to Kabb in Xintiandi for lunch. I liked the brunch menu a bit better but the chicken club was not too bad.
No pizza for today. I got a decent grilled vegetable salad.
The good old Brew Burger.
Estado Puro, Xintiandi seems like a nice tapas place. I stopped over for a lunch. The tuna and avocado is a nice dish. Eggs Benedict is not bad but my personal preference is for more crispy bacon. Service was friendly … Continue reading
We had a great dim sum lunch at Hakkasan. The dim sum selection, presentation, and taste were excellent. The desserts finished off a perfect lunch.
I grabbed a few of the recommended items on the menu for a change of pace at Sen-ryo, Kerry Centre. The tofu with soup was especially nice.
I had a nice lunch at Ginza Bairin, IFC. I am disappointed that they took the matsutake dobin mushi off the menu, but the katsudon is fantastic.
How Fun, at Shanghai Centre, has an interesting selection of paella. The beef skewers were nicely done and I liked the long jing ice tea with lime. The paella was decent. Service and timing of food delivery could use some … Continue reading
I had a nice falafel salad at Heartland Black & Gold. The burger looked pretty tasty too.
I had another try at Wolfgang Puck, Xintiandi. The cranberry drink and root vegetables were pretty good, but the pizza was not anything exceptional.
For Chinese New Year Eve, I went to Calypso for lunch. The stuffed pepper with crisp bacon was fantastic. Combined with the excellent service, it was a great lunch. I need to find a partner to come back for the … Continue reading
We tried a wasabi shrimp at Vale. They use a bit too much mayo for my taste.
It has been a while since we did Lynn’s Coffee. We had 30 minutes to spare while we waited for a meeting. it would have been nice to get the red telephone booth
We tried out the tea duck which turned out to be a nice choice. Watercress soup also hit the spot.
Although the menu doesn’t highlight, I think the desserts are most notable at the Disgruntled Chef.
Singapore airport frequently changes the displays. The current display is Star Wars theme.
On my last day in Singapore, I got breakfast at Prego, Fairmont Hotel. The congee was stacked high with add on, I can’t see the congee.
I always liked the grounds of Raffles Hotel at night.
I saw some interesting art that is up my alley of interest.
On my first work day in Singapore, we went to Italian restaurant, Angeleno. The mozzarella was great. I got the impression that the meatballs on the lunch set would be a small portion but they turned out to be pretty … Continue reading
Anti:Dote is downstairs at the Fairmont. There is a large selection of drinks and cocktails. The tapas are decent size and tasty.
The views make this place a popular hangout after hours. It gets a bit noisy.
We did a quick lunch set after a busy morning. The beef was nice and the decor was comfortable.
We went to the original outlet for No Signboard to have the white pepper crab specialty and salted egg prawns. The kitchen was a little backed up with our order, but it was still a great meal.
