Oceana is close to my office and a good bet for a nice lunch. The fish and dessert were quite nice.
Benares is not a bad Indian restaurant in Times Square. But today seemed to be a bad day. Most items were on the overcooked side.
The salad and drinks are great at Blue Fin.
DB Bistro is a safe bet for me. The dishes and service are all around good for me.
The Modern – Bar Room seems to be a popular place. It has a policy of no tipping. It worked fine for me. Drinks are nice. I also liked the hamachi appetizer.
We saw a full house over at Stateline. So, we figured it must be halfway decent. The portions are big and the food is decent. That makes for a popular Sunday hang out.
I tried the new place, Mariachi. The service is decent and fajitas are not bad.
I tried The Greek for the first time today. The lobster gyro and octopus were quite nice.
We had a great breakfast at Al’s Diner formerly known as Gracie’s. The blueberry pancakes had to be the best pancakes in Shanghai. The gelato is nice also.
We had a nice dinner at Artemis before my flight to Shanghai. The views were great, but I could not get a good shot with the window reflections. The octopus was excellent.
Indocafe is running a lunch buffet that lets you sample most of the normal lunch menu. Its not bad to sample. Next time, I will probably get a regular set.

New building went up that must have some nice views from the balcony.
We had a couple of snacks at the Salt Grill & Sky Bar. The soft shell crab was a bit heavy on sauce but the mango cocktail was nice.
Walking along Orchard, I dropped into Providore for breakfast. The spanish eggs and chocolate milkshake were quite good. Although the bacon was not usual crispy bacon, it was also decent.

We ordered a bit too much but all was good at Herbs & Spices
After sampling the different burgers, I think the Aussie is the best one at Blue Frog. You can’t go wrong with crispy bacon.
Calypso is a nice venue for Sunday lunch. When the pizza arrived, I asked for chili flakes and got chili peppers. They seemed to work out ok. I just wish the crust could be crispier.
The fapiao situation at Ryemate is a bit annoying but I still like the quiche and lemongrass ice tea.
After a hard work out, I needed a drink. I decided to grab a drink and a salad for dinner at Element Fresh.
