The different characters and rose shape gelato at Kika add an interesting flair to a decent gelato. It gives me thoughts of doing a gelato shop one day.
We had a lunch at New Dynasty before getting back to the normal routine before Christmas.
We did the cafe for dinner. The shrimp and crab legs were not bad. The hot pot was a bit salty
We had a nice dim sum at New Dynasty. The service was a bit slow today, but the food was nice.
I went to Jean-Georges for Thanksgiving dinner. Although the food came a bit slow, the food tasted great. The sashimi appetizer and cod was especially nice.
Kush is a decent vegetarian place. I had summer rolls and brown rice salad. It feels healthy. I hope that balances out against some of my other recent meals.
The dinner at Element Fresh was pleasant. The lamb chops were quite tasty
Ruth’s Chris opened in Shanghai on the Bund fairly recently. The ribeye was nice and juicy. It was definitely one of the better steaks in Shanghai.
We visited Peace Hotel to see some of the Christmas decorations. The Dragon Phoenix restaurant is a nice Chinese restaurant up on the eighth floor. We got some of the standard dishes, but the food was done nicely.
A bit of pasta and dumplings for Eliza and hummus and chicken taco for me. Element Fresh was a nice lunch today.
While I was in Hong Kong, I picked up a dark chocolate sampler from La Maison du Chocolat. As usual, the taste was great.
We tried out Japanese BBQ place on Biyun Lu, but we didn’t do any BBQ. The food was decent and good value.
Back to Dondonya at Elements for lunch. The lunch set was great. I took note of some amusing sculptures outside the restaurant.
We went to Mango Tree for some Thai food. The order was pretty standard fair. We were pretty happy with the meal.
We had dim sum at Tim’s Kitchen in Elements Mall. The dim sum was pretty tasty and the service was decent.
We did a team dinner at Lei Garden in IFC Hong Kong. The place is not as nice as the one in Shanghai, but still decent. I liked the soup and shrimp.
The W Hotel over at ICC is a decent place. I think it is a bit noisy with lots of music playing all the time. The breakfast is decent. Most notable is the crispy bacon.
We had lunch at Dondonya at Elements. The price is good considering the location and pricing at other restaurants in the mall. The quality is decent and good for a lunch.
I had a late dinner room service from the Kitchen at W Hotel. The fries were not crisp and the steak was average. Not much selection at that time of night.
Monkey Law ‘The monkey swinging through the jungle must never let go of an old vine until he has a firm grip on the new one.’
We had a nice lunch at M on the Bund. The braised beef was very nice. We also had nice views of the Bund on the rooftop patio.
Eliza and I had a nice dinner at Kerry. Din Tai Fung is a safe bet for dumplings. Eliza had a craving for the dumplings.
I went to Century Park for a field trip this morning. There were some interesting things to see around the park. The big attraction seems to be the giant, inflatable duck.
We hit the Jasmine Lounge at the Peace Hotel for High Tea. The environment and the tea were excellent.
The team celebrated on a big delivery with a team lunch at Tang Palace Seafood. The lobster curry was nicely done.
Got nice little gift from Fudan University.
The lunch at the Brew consisted of onion soup and chicken curry
Andrew got an award from the mayor for his perfect performance on the ASK. Not sure why the heck they put up the unrelated powerpoint screen behind the kids. I am proud of him.
I did a simple lunch at Element Fresh today. The berry tea and Chilean Beef salad hit the spot for me today.
My son came up with a new game that I thought was pretty good. http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/33169680/#player
We met up with a friend for dinner at Jade Mansion in the IFC. They make my favorite tofu dish. All the other dishes were very nice also.
We tried a different restaurant today. The place doesn’t have an English name. It’s located next to CitySuper by Hongfeng lu. The food was fine, but we had a bit of a problem with a party celebrating someone’s birthday … Continue reading
We had a nice lunch at Calypso before our training class. The poached eggs were especially nice.
After lunch, we stopped downstairs at the Sunny Hills shop. They are famous for their pineapple tarts. They gave us a nice free sample and I brought a box to take home. I can’t imagine how this shop makes money. … Continue reading
We had a very nice dim sum lunch at La Societe. I was quite happy with every dish and the service was great. The view from the outdoor patio is nice. My only complaint is the extremely slow elevator set … Continue reading
I observed another bad translation today
I took a morning run up the hill across from my hotel before the morning meetings. My legs are soft from running up and down the hill the last couple of days. The morning on the hill … Continue reading
I had a quick run up the hill in the morning. I was hungry for breakfast.
During a break from my conference, I took a run up the hill across from the hotel. Got up to the Sunrise Terrace, but I was a bit disappointed by the views.
