We went to a famous dumpling house, De Fa Chang Dumplings, that is located by Muslim Street. They changed up a few dumplings from our last visit. But still a great time.
We strolled down Muslim Street in XIan to get a view on the many ways to cook lamb.
The Five Zen5es has a dim sum buffet which is pretty decent value. The Shangri-la dim sum buffet is probably a bit better, but this one is still good.
We walked around the corner to get some bbq meats at a restaurant translated as Loulan ancient and beautiful. The lamb is quite hearty.
We grabbed a drink after dinner at the lounge. Its a relaxing place for drinks.
The Sunday Brunch at the Waldorf is probably one of the best brunches in Shanghai. It is notably good if you enjoy oysters. There is a usually a nice selection. We had a bit of slow service on the holiday … Continue reading
I didn’t have high expectations with Chalisi, a Hong Kong style restaurant. The service was a bit bad, but the food turned out to be above my expectations.
We gave the vegetarian restaurant, Wujie, a go for lunch. It turned out to be very nicely done.
We grabbed early dinner at Aniseed Pho. The Pho and noodles are decent,
We had a team outing and grabbed a private room at Jardin De Jade. The selection was nice.
I believe the name of the Japanese restaurant is Kanto Garden. It was a pretty good value lunch.
The Seventh Son is over at Shangri La. Its a bit odd to have similar type of restaurant at the same hotel, but we gave it shot. Its pretty decent dim sum, but not the best in Shanghai.
We had a going away lunch at Ko Ko No I. Their salmon is very nice.
It is that time of year in China. Many moon cakes are out for consumption. I got a gift of organic moon cakes. Decent package and relatively light on the stomach.
We had some luck and got in to Vale for lunch without a reservation. We had the standards and they all came out nicely.
I got the thin crust vegetable pizza. I like the light, thin crust.
We decided to try out the pizza at Bianchi. I liked the mushroom with egg pizza.
I went to a Taiwan place for tofu and dough stick. I think the name, 桃园眷村, roughly translates to Taiwan village with China nationals. For 60 rmb, it is relatively cheap for a clean and safe meal.
I tried a different salad at Element Fresh today. With the dressing on the side, I think it was the healthy choice for today.
We had restaurant week set menu at Bull and Claw. Wagyu burger is quite filling. It is a pretty good value for Shanghai.
