We had a nice lunch at ON56 at Grand Hyatt. Too bad we could not take advantage of the nice views with the bad air quality. But the lunch was nicely done.
Needing to update my book, I got a lunch at Robuchon in Bund 18. The food and service were great. I quite liked the bread selection, tartare and the dessert.
Although it was another bad air quality day, we went to Sun Chateau for a good lunch set. The meal is decent value. Just wish the views could have been better.
On a rainy day, we made the trek across town to Xintiandi for T8. The lamb shank and tenderloin brightened the day.
Unfortunately the air quality was not good today. I think you would normally have good views of the Bund. Marina by DN offers a nice lunch set for this week.
I tried the salmon quiche at Ryemate. It is pretty decent. I will go back to the lemongrass orange ice tea for next time.
Another Monday, another one for one burger. I got the double patty burger. Burger was decent but the skimpy sweet potato fries was a bit disappointing.
After a team activity of laser tag, we went to Xibei Youmian Cun for a dinner. This place is famous for the oat noodles and lamb. I thought the lamb was good. The tag on the fish was amusing.
We managed to get to Aniseed before the convention crowd. The chicken and dragon fruit was pretty tasty.
We had a nice dinner at Morton’s Steakhouse. You can’t go wrong with a bone in ribeye.
Hard Rock is something of a known quantity and usually a safe bet. The staff was very friendly and helpful to handle some minor issues.
We picked a great day to have lunch at Light and Salt. The menu selection was good and the view was nice. The pineapple tart was great.
We had another go at the one for one drinks and burgers at Blue Frog.
A Ryemate opened recently near my apartment. I managed to give it a try today. The iced orange lemongrass tea was very nice. I also liked the bacon mushroom quiche.
We dropped by on a quiet hour. It picks up a bit later in the night. Seems like it should be a nice place.
Jade Garden is a regular option for me. My favorite item is the grainy beef.
Tang Palace Seafood Restaurant is one of the better options in this area of Shanghai. The soup of the day is usually a good bet.
For the first time, I tried Dali’s Mexican Food on Meihua aka Gutter Oil Street. Its slightly different from Mexican food I have had elsewhere but not bad.
Had to get away from the convention crowd. We managed to get in for Thai Inn at Himalayas Mall before the convention crowd got there.
We got out early for a quick lunch at Tsuru-Koshi Udon. The soft shell crab and noodle soup were nice.
Monday night is one for one burger night at Blue Frog. Bonus if you do happy hour is also one for one drinks.
I stopped over to grab lunch at Greyhound Cafe for the first time. The crab fried rice was nicely done with a bit of spicy kick.
After dim sum at Hakkasan, I saw Robuchon was open and picked up a couple of items to sample.
It is always nice to hit the weekend dim sum at Hakkasan with three people. We can get a nice spread of dim sum options to share.
