Pearl


The Mariott Putuo just upgraded to a JW and gave us a special offer to try out there restaurant.  We tried out the Pearl.  The food was not bad, but I think Man Ho is better food and service.

Preschool visit

Tong Li Hometown


    We went to Tong Li Hometown restaurant for lunch.  It is located just outside the Tong Li gardens.  The food was ok, but I really liked the date cake.  The cake was very light and tasty.

Jin Xuan: Ritz Carlton


We had quite an excellent lunch at Jin Xuan in the Pudong Ritz Carlton.  The views of the Bund are great, decor is nice, and the food was awesome.  I think the dim sum was excellent.

Ciao Bella


Ciao Bella is a pretty nice Italian place in Ho Chi Minh.  The service is nice and food prepared well.  I thought the use of the cheese wheel was pretty cool.

Bikes everywhere


The big mode of transport in Vietnam is bike.  They seem pretty good at watching out for people crossing the street unlike places in China.

safe taxi

Yogurt Space


We took a walk around the hotel and saw a yogurt place that just opened up for business.  The self serve yogurt was nice and the staff were very friendly.  Eliza got her favorite, chocolate.

Grill Room


    We got a VIP card to the Grill Room over at Jurmeirah that gave us 50% off the meal.  The Grill Room has a decent selection of steaks, including Wagyu.  The pork chop was quite nice.
