A nice selection and good quality food at Woodward Table
Great to see the cherry blossoms in DC
Still recovering from Ping Pong dim sum, we went to Acadiana for dinner. The food was a bit salty for my liking.
Got up early for a walk in the neighborhood before grabbing breakfast at Corner Bakery Cafe.
We got the weekend dim sum buffet and sampled all the main entrees too. Overall not bad. The green tea waffles were nice but the chicken was overcooked. The duck was a bit salty.
It doesn’t look like much from the street, but we gave Pho 88 a try for lunch. It was a nice and clean lunch.
I enjoyed my first visit to the Library of Congress. The tour guides were helpful and we had a few exhibits to check out.
The Botanic Garden sits on the way to the Capitol. Since we had 30 minutes to spare before our tour, we went inside to take a quick look at the colors from the flowers.
We dropped by Tico on the way home from Washington DC. We got there before the dinner rush. The service and staff were very nice. I thought some of the dishes were a tad salty, but the stew and corn … Continue reading
Andrew was pushing for another visit to Blue Duck for breakfast. It didn’t take too much convincing to get me down there again.
We tried to get in Old Ebbitt, but traffic to get over there was a nightmare and when we finally got there we saw over an hour wait. We decided to go up the street to Woodward Table for a … Continue reading
The memorials lit up at night are quite nice looking.
We hopped around the different memorials after we got done with lunch. It was just a great day to get outside.
We had a late lunch over Blue Duck Tavern. The crab cake was tasty and the ceasar salad was one of the best salad I have ever tasted. The lobster roll was not bad too. The lunch really hit the … Continue reading
The first time I hear this line, but I think it’s catchy.
The next place for our agenda was Arlington. The tour guides were very informative and friendly. The nice weather made it nice to walk around the various areas of interest.
We got down to DC to do a quick visit for Easter week vacation. The first stop is the basilica.
We grabbed some lunch at Bistro Francais in Georgetown. The place seems pretty busy. I liked the bread, gazpacho and spanish style rice. Not sure why a french restaurant has spanish style rice, but I liked it anyway.
Passed By Morton’s in Georgetown after our lunch. I made a mental note to hit them up next time I am in DC
wtf is supposed to stand for Woodward Takeout Food. I think it is supposed to be pretty good. Unfortunately, we didn’t have any appetite. We’ll give it a try next time we are in DC.
You don’t usually go wrong with the Hard Rock. On the way to the White House, the kids needed a break. We dropped into Hard Rock for a quick bite. The waiter seemed to hit it off with the … Continue reading
I had crab meat with eggs and spinach for breakfast at the Blue Duck. Andrew got the bagel with some potato. Food and service were nice.
We went to Bodega in Georgetown for dinner. The kids liked the Paella. I have to admit the Paella is one of the better ones I have tasted in a long time. Calamari was nothing special, but the potato and … Continue reading
We checked in the hotel for our stay in Washington. An interesting feature of the elevator is a bench seat. The kids took full advantage of the feature during the stay in Washington.
